SCHEDULE NOTES:
- Practice Times will vary the first two weeks of February due to gym sharing schedules. Players need to verify their specific practice time with their coach/group chat each day.
- Normal Practice Times: Novice/JV=3:15-5:30pm / Varsity=5:00-7:00pm (TENTATIVE ... LIKELY TO CHANGE!)
- Practice Changes: Changes to the normal practice times will happen from time to time. Notification will come through the players on their group chat from the coaches. Parents ... make sure your sons share these updates with you as a separate notice will NOT be sent to the parents!
- Practice on Tournament Days: When the schedule shows Varsity or JV doing a travel tourney on a Friday, please note that the other two teams WILL have a normal practice day at the CCA gym. This is subject to change, but do not plan on a day off!
- Home Game Times: Novice/JV start times are between 4-4:30pm / Varsity start times are between 5:30-6pm
- Tournaments are full day pool & playoff schedules with multiple games. Exact start times and locations will be shared a few days before each tournament. Generally Friday starts include early release from school and play until late in the evening. Saturday starts are generally early in the morning through the early evening. Do not schedule any other activities on tournament days as you will not be able to leave early without impacting the team. IMPORTANT: Parents are responsible for driving their sons to all tournaments. Busses/rides are NOT provided and coaches are NOT permitted to drive players.
- MAXPREPS: There may be conflicts on the game schedule listed on MaxPreps (see below). Always look to your son to verify with you the correct timing (this page vs. MaxPreps). The coach always has the correct answer ...
2022 PLAYOFF SCHEDULE:
- CIF San Diego Playoffs are May 3-14, 2022 & CIF State Playoffs are May 16-21, 2022
- Only Varsity participates in the playoffs. The JV & Novice teams finish playing at the end of the regular season, but are expected to help participate if the Varsity team has "home" games at CCA.
- Playing locations are determined by rank. The team with the higher seed gets the home court advantage.
- The CIF San Diego playoff match-ups are not announced until the end of the regular season. Playing dates are not released until the CIF Committee meets on April 30.
- The CIF State Schedule is not announced until after the CIF San Diego Finals. Not all schools participate in the State Playoffs ... only those teams that do well in the CIF San Diego Section will be invited to participate.
